Go read the speakup user's guide. If you have a kernel source patched with speakup, you'll find it in Documentation/speakup/spkguide.txt. I assume you can also grab this from linux-speakup.org and mirrors, but I haven't checked on that. You want to read section 3 of that guide, specifically, towards the bottom of section 3. In a nutshell, you need to hold down your caps lock key, and you can then use uio jkl m,. as your speakup review keys. Again, spkguide.txt has more details.
