Yes, this subject is in regards to your original message. If you want to specify speakup_ser as a kernel parameter, then you'll also need to specify speakup_synth as a kernel parameter. I'm fairly sure, especially after reading the responses to your question, that what you want to do can't be done at the command prompt, it can only be done via kernel parameters.
