I guess there's serial addapters that might plug into the slot but... You have to include PCMCIA modules into the kernel and the PCMCIA Card Services package of utilities that will load the appropriate modules for the card you plug in. The whole thing is pretty cool once you get it all configured. I now have a network and modem that auto detect and load the right modules merely by plugging the card into the slot. Now if I can only get my wireless network to go .
