And it's much smaller than either one. The only problem I have so far is that when you try to use it while playing a sound on a single-channel sound card, it tends to lock so you have to manually kill it before you can use it again. But Espeak does seem to be in active development, so maybe this can be fixed soon. Otherwise, this is about the best free open source synth I have heard.
