I have a machine here, 266 Mhz amd-k6, 96M of ram, 192M swap, and 4.1G hard drive, that I'm trying to decide if I can put x, and gnome/gnopernicus on or not. I suspect that normally gnome wouldn't present problems on this kind of hardware, but with the added load of festival and gnopernicus, I'm not sure if what I'm considering doing is practical. Any opinions would be much appreciated. If you feel this isn't appropriate for this list, feel free to reply privately, and thanks in advance.
