I am now attempting to make it work with Speakup under Linux. I copied the dec_pc to the suggested location, and ran dtload -v. I get the following output: testkernel got dec Loading kernel of 26438 bytes ( 77 relocs ) cs:ip == 0040:0010 ss:sp == 07eb:0200 status -3 However, upon loading speakup, I am informed that the device, while found, appeared to have no firmware loaded. I try running dtload again, and get the following output: testkernel got dec Loading kernel of 26438 bytes ( 77 relocs ) cs:ip == 0040:0010 ss:sp == 07eb:0200 card is ready dt_loadmem: addr = 00000400 size = 26438 waitmode p=c001 s = 1000 status -9 When I attempt to load speakup and the decpc module a second time, the system completely locks up hard, and I have to press the reset button. I have tried the firmware that came in the speakup tarball, and the firmware off my install disk, which is 4.2C. Suggestions are welcome. - -- Luke Yelavich GPG key: 0xD06320CE (http://www.themuso.com/themuso-gpg-key.txt) Email & MSN: themuso@themuso.com ICQ: 18444344 -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.2 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQFDvuExjVefwtBjIM4RAqpaAJoC/2/46l03FcESduDX2/vio5tdGgCgsYGx MNwk6fgFL+UHfWrHWqy8WIs= =j4kO -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
