Yes, I have. Would you like to show me which section of it says that chat
communicates directly with a serial port, instead of stdin and stdout,
or that there is an option which allows me to tell it that it should
talk to a serial port? Better yet, have you tried running a chat
script yourself after reading the man page, and discovered that chat
thinks that your console's stdin and stdout is a modem?
