Subject: converting real-audio to mp3
Date: Wed, 7 May 2003 11:03:51 -0400	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <20030507150351.GA194@chris> (raw)

Hello listers,
I'm looking for suggestions for converting real audio files to mp3. On
approach I thought of was to pipe the output of vsound into lame. Vsound
would run trplayer on the input file and the output would run through an
mp3 encoder such as lame. The drawback with this approach is that is plays
the file in real time which results in a slow conversion.

I'm looking for other suggestions.

Thanks
Chris
