Hi. I checked into hardward differences betweene PC's and Macs.
Basically, You will need an adapter to connect a serial synth to a Mac.
Don't know a source to buy them so you might have to make them. Macs
will have the same problem that current PC's have: Aple stopped putting
serial ports on Macs around 1999.
In summary, its possible to run speakup on a Mac, but it isn't easy.
Just like with PC's, you will need a Mac which still has a serial port.
Unlike using a PC, you will also need an adapter to connect to the
serial port.
