List-Unsubscribe: , List-Archive: For a client with one of the cleanest interfaces I've seen, try sirc. apt-get install sirc When you wish for something a bit more customisable, try epic. apt-get install epic4 You might want to put the following in ~/.ircrc (if using epic4) to reduce some of the updating clutter and make things a bit easier to use. This assumes you want to automatically receive incoming files and dcc chats.
