List-Unsubscribe: , List-Archive: Put a PCI card in the machine. ISA cards require dma bounce buffers and aren't efficient these days. If youonly hae that card cmos is your best bet; although I have no idea on alsa 0.9.x 0.5.x works well for me so I have not upgraded.
