List-Unsubscribe: , List-Archive: The braille lite probably wants 9600,n,8,1 and that is the default on the bns driver. There are no "default port settings for linux" on the port that speakup runs on since speakup sets default settings of its own which are synth specific. The bios usually initializes ports to 2400,n,8,1 but often linux sets them to 9600,n,8,1 on boot but only on ports that speakup is *not* controlling. Regards, Kerry.
