List-Unsubscribe: , List-Archive: Maybe someone will recognize this problem. While installing linux with speakup built in, I apparently lost my sound card. I have reinstalled alsa, and so on, but when I modprobe my card (snd-card-emu10k1) I get error messages like "/lib/modules/2.2.13/miscc/snd.o: unresolved symbol request_module" "snd-emu10k1: no such file or directory" and other similar lines. I fear I gave the wrong answer somewhere in configuring the kernel. I would appreciate any advice, of course, and many thanks in advance. Larry Baggett
