Subject: Gentoo and ttsynth

Here's what I've done so far:
downloaded my newly-purchased ttsynth rpm
used rpm2targz to create a tar of the rpm
extracted the tar in /
emerged lib-compat to work with libc6 
extracted the ttsynth_say program
copied eci.h from /opt/IBM/ibmtts/inc 
ran make with no errors
when I run ttsynth_say I get segmentation fault... now what?
