I downloaded and unzipped speakfb.zip, speakfr.exe and also speakfreely-jfwscrp.zip and unzipped/put all in the same directory. As said above, when I run speakfr.exe I still get the same error: The Speakfre.exe file is linked to missing export DSOUND.dll:11. Am I missing something here or should I just stick to Windows :) ----- Original Message ----- From: "John Covici" To: Sent: Tuesday, October 02, 2001 3:42 PM Subject: Re: speak freely reflector > You need the original package from speakfreely.org and then you can > replace the executable with the one at the speakup ftp site for > improved functionality. > On Tue, 2 Oct 2001, djden wrote: > > > So please someone, why, when I run the .exe file, do I get the following > > error: > > error starting program: > > The Speakfre.exe file is linked to missing export DSOUND.dll:11? > > Any help welcomed - I would like to be able to chat if possible.T > > hanks in advance. > > > > > > > > ----- Original Message ----- > > From: "Shaun Oliver" > > To: > > Sent: Tuesday, October 02, 2001 11:40 AM > > Subject: RE: speak freely reflector > > > > > > > no that's the only file you need. > > > > > > > > > -- > > > > > > > > > Shaun > > > > > > I never made a mistake in my life. > > > I thought I did once, but I was wrong. > > > -- Lucy Van Pelt > > > > > > email: shauno@goanna.net.au > > > icq: 76958435 > > > > > > On Tue, 2 Oct 2001, Tim Burgess wrote: > > > > > > > Hi, > > > > > > > > Is this the only required file, or are there additional files to be > > > > installed on a Windows box? > > > > > > > > Many thanks. > > > > > > > > Tim > > > > > > > > > > > > -----Original Message----- > > > > From: speakup-admin@braille.uwo.ca > > > > [mailto:speakup-admin@braille.uwo.ca]On Behalf Of Gregory Nowak > > > > Sent: 28 September 2001 22:55 > > > > To: speakup@braille.uwo.ca > > > > Subject: Re: speak freely reflector > > > > > > > > > > > > ftp://bumpy.braille.uwo.ca/pub/linux/goodies/speakfre.exe > > > > I know I said before the file was speakfr.exe, sorry about that. > > > > Greg > > > > > > > > > > > > On Fri, Sep 28, 2001 at 10:28:40PM +0100, djden wrote: > > > > > Hello Greg > > > > > Looked on the website and link to ftp site but could not find the file > > for > > > > > SpeakFreely reflector for Windows.
