Some Debian installation questions

Hi all,

I'm trying to switch from slackware to Debian. I've found the floppy images
on the speakup site. That's a lot of floppies. Is their a bootable cd rom
with speakup built in I could use, or could one be made somehow? I'd kind of
like it if we could have one with the new cvs version on it. I know, it
might  still be a bit buggy but darn it, that cursor tracking is cool!
Great job on that by the way, I'm having no problems at all with it. My only
comment is can we slow down the initial rate on the litetalk a bit please?

Back to the topic, could someone explain how to use the module configuration
and dselect portions of the install process? Modconf doesn't seem to have
much help text so I don't know what I need. I plan to build my own kernel
anyway, so do I really need to go through all that? Regarding dselect, I was
totally confused there.
I've heard a few times that the Debian installer is hard to use, it wasn't
hard for me, I only had trouble with those two parts.

Also, a couple times during the installation I got some error messages about
modules. One early on said something about the file modules.dep not being
found. After choosing  each module there's another error I can't remember. I
messed up something during the install so I'm in windows right now and don't
have those exact messages handy. I'll right them down next time.
If anyone knows what I'm talking about though, how serious are these and
what do I do to fix them?
