Are you certain your serial port is on the motherboard, and not on a PCI
card? Speakup will only check for ttyS0 through ttyS3, and often a PCI card
with a serial connector will avoid those addresses and use something like
ttyS4 instead. Speakup will not work with such a card-based serial port.
