As for getting dectalk express working ... I think, and I highlight the word think, I saw some people having that working on this list, but you'll have to ask them. I don't think it would be that difficult though, but maybe that's just me being overly optimistic. Good luck though, and let us know what you discover? I have GRML, that I have used with my DecTalk express, but I'm not sure how I would get it to use software speech, as I run it from a CD. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Sina Bahram" To: "'Speakup is a screen review system for Linux.'" After you type swspeak and hit enter, then wait for about a minute or two ... Until you get to the prompt, at which point you type speechd-up Take care, Sina -----Original Message----- From: speakup-bounces@braille.uwo.ca [mailto:speakup-bounces@braille.uwo.ca] On Behalf Of ace Sent: Saturday, April 08, 2006 11:45 AM To: speakup@braille.uwo.ca Subject: Starting GRML -----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hello folks, I know that the commands to start GRML are: grml swspeak speechd-up I, however, cannot get it to start.
