Scott,
I'm running OpenWRT White Russian 3 and did not have to load any additional
packages to switch to PPPoE.
Yes, it's just a matter of setting up the necessary variables in nvram,
committing, and rebooting. Also, I had to reconfigure my DSL modem/router
to run in bridge mode and just pass the PPPoE directly to the OpenWRT
router.
If you have any problems, drop me a note or let me know and I'll give you a
call.

Subject: Openwrt and pppoe
Folks, if anyone has used Openwrt and pppoe, I have a coupld of
questions. I read over the docs, but was a little confused.
1. I get the impression its a matter of just setting it up in the
router via set commands.
2. I then also saw reference to a pppoe package and was wondering if
that is needed in addition to the setup commands or are they two
separate means for configuring the router to do the same thing.
tnx
Scott
