I have had this exact same behavior with the GRML LiveCD Take care, Sina -----Original Message----- From: speakup-bounces@braille.uwo.ca [mailto:speakup-bounces@braille.uwo.ca] On Behalf Of Lorenzo Taylor Sent: Monday, April 10, 2006 11:00 AM To: speakup@braille.uwo.ca Subject: Possible bug in either speech-dispatcher or speechd-up -----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 I just tried running Espeak with Speech-dispatcher 0.6 and the latest speechd-up from CVS. I am having a strange problem when doing this. For some reason, the synth sometimes lapses into spelling entire streams of output and whenever I redraw the screen it seems to always spell the first couple of letters on the first line of the screen. Even more strangely, this doesn't occur on my laptop with a newly installed Espeak. The laptop is running an older version of speech-dispatcher and speechd-up. Speech-dispatcher is 0.5 and speechd-up is 0.1. The desktop speech-dispatcher is 0.6 and speechd-up is also showing 0.1. It should be noted that I am using the exact same speechd.conf file for both systems and my Espeak module config file is the same on both also. Any help with this problem is greatly appreciated. Thanks, Lorenzo - -- Q: How many journalists does it take to screw in a light bulb? A: Three. One to report it as an inspired government program to bring light to the people, one to report it as a diabolical government plot to deprive the poor of darkness, and one to win a Pulitzer prize for reporting that Electric Company hired a light bulb-assassin to break the bulb in the first place. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.3 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQFEOnL+G9IpekrhBfIRAqURAKCWaHW0ruomouFv3Oycjfm2dLkGMQCfd9Uc wFwBQxjFUw7YlE5iqPz1Ik8= =o/q8 -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- _______________________________________________ Speakup mailing list Speakup@braille.uwo.ca http://speech.braille.uwo.ca/mailman/listinfo/speakup
