I think this depends on the list processing settings as well as the mailer 
you are using and is not an OS issue.

Perhaps this is a windows specific problem, but when I reply to this list,
replies go to the list whereas on some lists, reply goes to the author and 
reply
to all goes to the list.  What makes one list differ in behavior from 
another in
the reply format?  Do those of you who primarily post email to this list 
from a
linux based mailer  encounter this situation when replying?
