Well bad news. As far as I know, there are not any Linux distros that
will let you install to an ntfs partition. The reason is that ntfs
write support is not yet stable in the Linux kernel. If the drive is
formatted using fat32, that'll work. Otherwise, you will either need
something like partition magic, or you'll have to backup your drive,
repartition so that you have room for a linux partition, and then
restore. I personally prefur Norton Ghost for this procedure, but of
course it's up to you.
