List-Unsubscribe: , List-Archive: Hi listers. I have my sound card module loaded from = /lib/modules/2.4.18/misc, which is where my alsa modules are located. In = /dev/snd, I have pcmC0D0C, and pcmC0D0P. To make sure the card worked, I = did the following: cat english.au /dev/snd/pcmC0D0C. All I got was a = resounding beeping from the pc speaker, no audio. Can I not use cat to = send audio to the sound card so it will play it? Or would it be better = to use wavplay to do audio testing?
