There uplink is about 56 K and there downlink has the potential to be as fast as a t1 I've heard. Gane communications is a wireless provider here it's high speed. There's also something called Broadcloud for laptops which is a much lower speed, 28K for the subscription and 56K or more if you buy the expensive software. If you're in the middle of nowhere there's always the option of using a cellphone with a data cable.
