I will include it in its current state so = that someone can determine if I have misread or overlooked something. I = am beginning to suspect something more fundamental with the computer = itself. Right now though, here is the install.bat file from the Debian = disks area with the modification to specify the serial port. Keep in = mind that in install.bat, it is all on one line. dosutils\loadlin linux root=3D/dev/ram initrd=3Dimages-1.44/root.bin = speakup_ser=3D0 I am attempting to do this with no speech program or synthesizer driver = program loaded so I have no way of knowing what is going on on the = screen so I don't know what additional information I can get to help = solve this problem. I am prepared to look at bios settings but I have = no idea of how to access them or if I can do it at all without some = sighted assistance.
