I and some others couldn't install FC6 using CD's burned from the images there. I gather people also have had trouble with DVD's. Either might work fine for you, though. I ended up installing FC6 from my /home partition, using the DVD image. If you need to backtrack nonetheless, there are FC3 images. I forget the exact path to them, but it began from www.linux-speakup.org I'm still at the low end of the knowledge spectrum, so somebody else may give you better advice.
