Red Hat 9.0 doesn't include speakup enabled kernels, but there are Red Hat 9.0 kernels on the speakup ftp site so that once you've upgraded to 9.0 you can update the existing non-speakup kernels with one with speakup. So in short you are going to have to update then grab the speakup kernel rpms, update them, make sure the entries in your boot loader are correct, and then you are set to go. Hth.
