Check your connections; check your slot and the hardware stuff.
If the bios can't find the card; Linux can't either.
If it doesn't show up in the PCI device tree Linux has no chance to load a 
driver.

Make sure the card is correctly seated; and make sure it is a supported 
model as far as Linux is concerned.
googling for "linux wireless support"
will yield you the documents you need to acertain whether kernel support 
exists.

Looks like I was wrong about the card being detected.
it's installed, but I'm not seeing it in my lspci output.

Once I get it recognized it'll be a lot easier. I'd like to move it into my
