Subject: Just installed Debian Hi, Just installed Debian and am trying to use apt-get. I want to configure it to use my CDs, but I need to mount the disk first. The command I used many years ago was mount /dev/hd? /dev/cdrom - however this is not working. My CD (I think judging by messages) is getting assigned to /dev/hdc. What is the best way to mount it? Also, is there a decent front-end which allows me to see packages and search accordingly? I only have the base system on now, and wondered if there was a way of installing more common text apps like Mutt, Lynx etc? I used the Debian CD on the Speakup site - the Sarge I386 ISO. Thanks. Andrew. _______________________________________________ Speakup mailing list Speakup@braille.uwo.ca http://speech.braille.uwo.ca/mailman/listinfo/speakup
