I just downloaded one that seems not to be live, so another coaster it is, I guess. The download from releases.ubuntu.com isn't as fast but I'm more confident I picked the one I really want as f5, 3, and 2 enters did nothing but put me in windows with this disk I just made. I know my CD boots before the hard drive because I tried one back when Dapper drake was buggy. ----- Original Message ----- From: "tony seth" To: Sent: Sunday, April 01, 2007 10:53 PM Subject: about the latest ubuntu > Well, I went and got the desktop cd for ubuntu, and am wondering, if I > decide that I like the system as it is, can I install it to the hard > drive, and what's the procedure for that, I didn't find any docs on the > cd to help me out and I've only played with a very early version of > ubuntu on a slow machine so didn't have good results.
