Subject: misreading before the 20th character
Date: Mon, 19 Mar 2007 22:47:47 -0300 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <000501c76a91$cb8965d0$0401a8c0@cleverson> (raw)
Hi all
After some updates, I'm having a strange issue in my Gentoo system. For each
character I type in the console, Speakup reads the current line entirely
twice instead of speaking only the typed characters. When I get typed 20
characters, it starts speaking each character the usual way.
Also, while in Nano editing some scripts, it apears not to follow the focus
correctly when lines are larger than the screen.
It seems to me that the problem is neither related to the screen reader nor
the synthesiser, because I started Oralux Linux and entered Gentoo via
chroot, and Oralux also misread the Gentoo's console while reading correctly
its own ones.
Does someone have an idea what's going on?
Many thanks
Cleverson
