I got the same problem on the make install step. So I attempted to understand the makefile. I noted after the line: @ lib --no-print-directory $(INSTALL) The makefile moved 2 files from bin/ into the install directory then it carried out time stamps. So I simply moved the 2 successfully built files into /usr/bin/ # mv bin/flite /usr/bin/ # mv bin/flite_time /usr/bin/ It's dirty with not time stamping them but I'm not sure what's that all about anyway. Anyway by generating a test file flite read the text: # flite test HTH Gena Ready 2 Go Linux http://www.ready2golinux.com
