Dear List,
I installed Linux Mint Mate 21.
At installation, I chose automatic sign in.
Now I want to change it to require my password to log in.

I can?t seem to do it. Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Rob

On https://duckduckgo.com I searched for "linux mint disable automatic
login" and got these:
https://linuxhint.com/enable-auto-login-on-boot-linux-mint/
https://frameboxxindore.com/linux/how-do-i-disable-auto-login-in-linux-mint.html

If you want to manually edit files:

Hi,
Thanks for the search results, but none of the standard methods would work.
I resolved it by removing two lines containing to auto log in from the following file.
Etc/lightdm/lightdm.conf
Thank you for your help.
