Hi!
I think it was Kyle that mentioned the Pinebook pro in another thread.
It made me very very interested.
However I was wondering if it comes preinstalled with linux or if I have to do it myself?
And can I connect a usb braille display to it`
How is the form factor of this device?
Best!
/Anders.

The Pinebook Pro does already come with Linux installed on it, but I
think it's a KDE something, and that isn't working with the Orca screen
reader at this time, that's still a work in progress. But I do think
it's running some kind of Ubuntu derivative, so you could just get the
packages installed that you need probably. Regarding the form factor,
it's a laptop about the size of a Chromebook. These do seem to be hard
to find though, so keep watching for them to become available if they've
run out. Looks like they will have some at the end of next month from
what I'm reading.

Might one be able to put Ubuntu mate, or fedora or even stormux on a pinebook?
Thought of getting a pine book pro, but they are never in stock.

I don't think it's a problem. I believe the Pinebook Pro comes with some
form of Ubuntu already, so Ubuntu-MATE should run just fine. Now would
be the time to get it, since 22.04 is the latest LTS release and is only
about a week old I think.
