Hi there.
Screen 3.7.1 builds fine under linux.
However there is a problem with bash as distributed with some versions of
slackware.
If screen's configure process dies with the error
configure: no tgetent no screen
Then it means you are running a broken version of bash and should upgrade.
Latest release is bash-1.14.7 from
ftp://prep.ai.mit.edu/pub/gnu/bash-1.14.7.tar.gz
This also fixes a number of security holes in older versions of bash.

Take an active stand against the NTEU wage claim.
Let them know loud and clear that blackmail will not be tollerated.
