I have regularly used l Lynx to access download and unzip my bookshare titles, here at shellworld. we are presently Ubuntu 1604 at least as a shell for the service. *however* I read daisy text, I am not getting audio, and that might be what you are needing. Works for me, which does not mean it works for others in the same fashion.
