Subject: Fwd: where did viavoice go?
Date: Wed, 7 May 2003 12:35:49 -0400 (EDT) [thread overview]

Hi. I got this message on another list regarding ViaVoice TTS. I hope
the files are still there. If not, I will give you my personal FTP site
where ViaVoice will ALWAYS be.

Here's the whole set of viavoice for linux files
> http://www.ecn.purdue.edu/~laird/Linux/ViaVoice/
This might be your last chance to grab them, they
have been nowhere to be found on the net for a
while already, except the dictation runtime, which
is still on the IBM site. The sdks and the text
to speech (TTS) stuff is no longer on the IBM site.
Grab them now while you still can. Festival is
free but viavoice is nice sounding and probably
the best recognition tools available on linux.
