It doesn't work ?

Hello,

mY config : redhat 7.3, brltty-3.0 and alva braille terminal.

Before installing I uncomment the good lines in Makefile :

BRL_TARGET = Alva
BRLDEV = /dev/ttyS0

To install brltty I did :
make
make install (being root)

In /etc/sysconfig/kudzu I have the line :
SAFE=yes

When I write the command /sbin/brltty
I receive the message "no braille device ..."

Any help will be appreciated

Hi:
I've got exactly the same configuration and everything work 
fine, I did not modify /etc/sysconfig/kudzu though, but it 
shouldn't matter.

Have you tried to install brltty from rpm package? And another 
thing, check cable first. :-)
