I'm trying to compile links. Even though I have the debian openssl package
installed, the ./configure keeps coming back with "checking for OpenSSL" no.
I do notice that at the --with-ssl option in the --help it says (=directory);
I've tried both the directory of the binary and the directory of the conf file
but without success. Does anybody know if I'm missing something I should do here
or if there's more to OpenSSL in debian than just the openssl package?
By the way, it does the --enable-javascript with no problem.

You probably need to specify the directory which contains libssl.so and
libcrypto.so. If this doesn't work, let me know and I'll experiment a bit.
