We're not sure yet why the selection of a speakup keymap is
creating the Anaconda error. We are aware of the problem and are
trying to get a handle on it.

Meanwhile, the workaround I've just described in a separate
message does work.

And, if you like, you can also dd the cd rom images to your hard
drive and specify a hard drive install.

The key is to keep the installation cd rom away from Anaconda at
the early stage of keymap selection. It is important to force it
to ask for the location of installation files. Once past this
point, the only installation issue is the ncurses one I also
described.

PS: It is truly an ncurses issue. You will also see it in scripts
such as setup from the installed distribution.
