pump

I have Charter coming today and am going to try once again to get dsl set
up. They tell me they use dhcp, and I discovered that pump is already on
my debian system. However, I can't locate one shred of documentation as to
how I am supposed to configure or use pump. I realize that pump also comes
with the redhat distribution but hopefully it is safe to assume it is
supposed to be used on debian since it's installed. Any help would be
appreciated; maybe I'm overlooking documentation somewhere but what I
found in /usr/share/doc wasn't helpful.

Usually Debian packages come in with fairly well documented config files; 
that might be enough for you. Sometimes the conffile has a man page of its 
own also, that might be a place to look to.

PUMP SUX BIGTIME!
W tried for about a week to get that damn thing working with hdcp and a
dsl-link, no way don't do it!
Switch to dhcp-client package on your debian-system and throw the
pump-grabage out please.
The bloody thing does bootp as well and we couldn't get it to do hdcp.
You are warned!

Well, it actually is working at the moment, but if I ever figure out
dhcp-client I'll probably switch.
