Hello: I am getting the following error message ocasionally when I am trying to install package in particular the realplayer package. error: can't open display. I am prity sure that I compiled the VGA mode into the kernel which happens to be 2.4.5 under slackware 8.0. I am not sure if this is a X-windows problem and if so how can I avoid it. I seem to recall that this was the same error message that came up when I attempted to install and setup X-windows itself. Is there any good documentation for blind users that will allow us to set up X-Windows? I would appreciate any assistance. thanks and regards Mark Muscat
