GUI-only users can never hope to access the full power of Linux. No GUI, on any OS, can ever hope to provide the flexibility and options you can get through the shells and associated tools, using the Unix modular toolset philosophy. These issues have been discussed before on this list, in detail. Unless you have some use for the paper documentation that comes with the boxed sets, or want phone support (they would probably want to walk you through using some GUI configuration tools), you could do just as well with the cheap CD's sold by other vendors like cheapbytes.com (see the blinux FAQ for details, including how to get online documentation). If you have a fast connection and a CD writer, you can even download the ISO CD images for free. -- L. C.
