I have used ZipSpeak, and I like it very much. I saw a version of linux
called BigSlack. Is there a way to 'move' the talking parts of ZipSpeak
into BigSlack so that it will talk too?
The linux versions of ZipSpeak and BigSlack are the same (2.2.13).
Thanks,
John

Hi
What for? All bigslack contains is KDE and the X window
system. You cannot yet access that through speakup. But, to answer your
question, get a talking kernel and put it in the directory and call it
bmlinux.spk. Then edit the linux.bat file so it references vmlinuz.spk
rather than vmlinuz. Then go to
ftp://ftp.braille.uwo.ca/pub/speakup/disks/slackware/zipspeak and get the
loadspk.tgz package. Download this to c:\linux. Then after bigslack is
booted, simply install the package.
