Hello.
I just tried to connect to the leb.net server but ftp refuses to work.
I wanted to look at the braille-conversion tools if they support any
german braille-tables. Anyone knowing if they do?

Second question is about the Softpointer. Is there someone who currently
works at a update of the softpointer?
If not I would do it. I would highly appreciate if anyone who knows of a
program which is currently not covered in the softpointer would send me a
mail with url and short description.
I then will do my best to update the currently features programs to their
new real url and version number and include as much as we can get
together.

CYa,
    Mario

nfbtrans 7.48 is free for download and compiles on dos and Unix platforms
source code is C.
This translator supports german braille.
http://www.nfb.org/
is one of the sites you can use to download it.
http://home.earthlink.net/~mail4tdb
is another site that may also have it available for download.

ftp.leb.net is up and kicking. Yesterday their uplink seemed to
have some problems.

Engaged! Renewing the softpointer is very important. It really deserves a
refresh. At the moment a volunteer from Japan is translating it into
Japanese. Please contact Mrs. Chie Nakatani <jeanne@mbox.kyoto-inet.or.jp>
she does the translation. The Japanese Linux documentation can be found
under http://jf.gee.kyoto-u.ac.jp/JF

Anybody interested to write a "HardPointer" which describes supported
hardware and points to the web pages of their producers?

Enjoy!
