I could only think it was aa problem with my sound card and the kernel sound drivers. Although I can play other sound files using bplay. My soundcard is of the MAD16 variety. My kernel version is 2.0.30 and the kernel is compiled using the options for a MAD 16 card. If anyone out there can crack this one it would be wonderful. Jim
