Humm, I bet you have problems with lots of other sites, too.
We use netscape here without any problems.

Do you have an appropriate entry for a name server in
your /etc/resolv.conf config file?  There should be an entry
(line) in there something like the following:
nameserver 192.168.46.1
You must get a valid IP number from your ISP (internet service
provider).  They should be running your dns (domain name server) 
server for you.  I have the "named" daemon turned off on my
machine.  Also make sure you have a valid /etc/hosts file,
for local stuff, frequently used sites, etc.
