If you think no commercial companys are supporting linux you better think again. Try web searching to the linux documentation project and going through the list of over 100 commercial companys that are already supporting linux. Not to mention the companys that I have personally sold linux to for development of software. Now that Linux has passed the Posex standard test you will see a big growth in commercial developers the problem was before the Posex standard ok no government company or any one who wanted to deal with government could use it cause it was not quote secure enough. As with the release of 2.0 many companys have started developing for linux in fact Linux has many of the big boys (i.e SCO SUN SGI) on the run now that most of there applications can be compiled and run under linux.
