Hello everybody
I try to connect my dos computer with linux box through com1/ttyS0. To do
it I inserted a following line into /etc/inittab:
s1:12345:respawn:/sbin/getty ttyS0 DT38400 vt100
but nothing happened. I can hear aseveral letters speak out by my synth
when "login" apears on the screen of linux box and that's it.
Thanks for any info.
Paul

Most likely, the speed of your serial port on the dos box isn't set to
38400. Be sure you have the parameters in the comm program correct, or
all you'll get is garbage characters as you experienced.
