Subject: mail with out a network:
Date: Wed, 4 Dec 1996 16:48:45 -0500 (EST) [thread overview]

Hi, all,
* my system isn't connected to a network.
* I'm running slakware 1.2.8.
* Tcp/ip is not installed.
* I would like my users to be able to send mail back and fourth on the
system, through the standard mail system (eg: pine, etc.).
* /etc/HOSTNAME: blink.blink.net
* sendmail error: "my host: blink, not found; connection refused".
This error is displayed when ever I start the system (eg: sendmail
startup), and when ever a user sends any mail . . .
The only way I have been able to do it sofar, is my mailing directly to
the users mailbox (eg: mail |/var/spool/mail/ktdee).
Then mail comes from:
from: /<mail path>@blink
Any idea's on what can be done so my users/I can exchange mail?
-Luke (pritty much a linux novice (not unix, just sysadmin under linux))
